Lazy Kids: 7 Reasons to Child’s Laziness to Study

Lazy child to study his lessons.
Is there any solution to child’s laziness to study? How to help him improve his study habits?  Does your child show no interest at all to hold his book, read and study?
 
Unfortunately, there’s no any cure to improve a child’s laziness to study.  The only possible remedy is learning to discipline the child so that he will start doing things he doesn’t enjoy.   It is good to provide right discipline through consequences.  Give him some sort of negative consequences for all his laziness.  It could be depriving the child of watching TV, playing video games, or using the computer.  You may use this if grades become very low as a result of his laziness to study.


How does child’s laziness to study happen?  What are their valid reasons in showing no interest to study?

1.  Often, a lazy student is not interested to do homework.  There is no desire to learn and re-learn the lessons already presented.  The effective teaching approach requires repetitive procedures to reinforce memory retention.  For an average child or student, repeating materials over and over again is dumb and boring.  As a result, the child just tunes out this method until another new material comes along. 


2.  For the parents, try to investigate whether the student is really bored.  It could be that he really doesn’t understand what’s going on in the first place.  Offer help to read his book and try to discover if materials are just the repetition of the former material.  


3.  Figure out the reason why your child’s laziness to study is happening.  There must be a reason behind his laziness.  You may start probing by asking these questions:

     
      1.Is understanding the material hard for him?

      2.Doesn’t he know the reason why old material needs reviewing?
      3.Why this educational system not working effectively for him?

4.  Consider also his environment.  Are there lots of distractions around?  Where is the television or computer?   What is he doing while studying?  Is his attention divided into many disturbances while doing his homework?  A child’s laziness to study happens when he lacks concentration.


5.  If your child loves to play games, he might be interested to study when there’s visual stimulation.  RPGs are attractive illustrations that involve rich test contents as well as complicated point system.  A textbook, on the other hand, is a tedious old style approach of reading, writing and learning.  To a modern child of today, this old system may look dumb and will not catch his interest.


6.  The child’s laziness to study may have an existing issue on his learning.  Dyslexia is one of the usual problems among young children and students. This disability shows that the words being read don’t really make sense.  The child does not see nor comprehend the words the way other children do.  Unfortunately, words do not line up properly for them.  You see words and understand them, but for them they don’t.  Check it out with their school.  As much as possible get some evaluations for your child if this issue of child’s laziness to study is connected with Dyslexia.


7.  And finally, search about the things your child is passionate about.  If you suspect your child is extremely visual in his activities, then offer materials that have images, drawings, or illustrations.    If he’s lazy to read his textbooks, the material for him is mind-numbing without those attractive images.


Bear in mind that even the brain of Einstein did not work exactly the way other kids did.  Even Einstein got diagnosed with impaired learning during his childhood stages. Help your kid by making necessary actions based on our tips.  Keep this in mind: if the child gets interested in his schoolwork, he will always be glad to overcome the child’s laziness to study.

    How to enhance creativity to children?

     "Just before I became a parent I had a dream of helping my children become creative contributors to society;  however, the reality of daily living leaves me exhausted and makes me a tired parent.  After the whole day’s tasks, I feel I am hardly in the right mood to motivate the creativity of my son."


    Being a parent and the parenting process itself are very challenging.  Substantial effort is spent by most parents in order to get through the day fruitfully successful.  A parenting life demands great efforts and enlarged responsibilities for yourself, your children and the entire family.   Unfortunately, many parents think that careers, major projects, outings, or money are required to encourage their children’s creativity.  Sometimes these things do help, but not the real grounds to enhance creativity to children.


    The important day-to-day routine of family members will supply large opportunities for promoting their creativity.  Say for instance, every one of you might plan eating dinner or brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand.  It isn’t helpful to do it for your convenience, but the opportunity to think of ways to use your other hand in order to practice doing something better leaves many challenges to all. Bathing by candlelight and having a picnic meal on your floor in the living room are but some situations of changes in tediously boring routines.  You may encourage your child to think of other applicable ideas.  Mentally, it’s another way of showing how creative they are by asking them what they can suggest.  You will be amazed how children of this present generation can start creating things in their minds that will show in their actions later.

    You will wonder how over the way such independent changes will persuade conversation and flicker eagerness.  They might as well contribute to your vision of fostering your son’s creativity.  As a concerned parent help your children develop their minds and bring out their best ability.   Teach them creativity by showing ways on how to be creative to yourself first.  Being a tired parent, it is empowering to see your son showing his excellent skills.

    Education - Tips for Teaching Kids to Enjoy Reading

    The best way to teaching kids to enjoy reading is to surround them with many interesting books. Words from books are the bases for fun reading.  Listen to words, speak them out, and watch them.  Most importantly teaching should be linked to their daily living and activities.  A small child can learn rich vocabulary simply by talking words.  Do it while in the supermarket, at home and school, while playing, taking a walk.  Anytime of the day with any activity can be an opportunity to teaching new words to children through reading.

    Tips in Teaching a Child to Enjoy Reading

    Have a fixed time of teaching and reading every day. You and your child should find a conducive place where reading is comfortable to do.  The book, though it may look thick, can be read from cover to cover if your place is calm and relaxing.  Sooner or later, the child will find it pleasurable  to read more because of undisturbed moments.

    Anticipate some struggles while reading.  Occasionally, there are times that teaching and reading are not fun and enjoyable.  Don’t force the kid. Hold until the child begins to show interest.  However, always get prepared for unpredicted conditions like tantrums and stubbornness.   It’s good that you keep some interesting books in your bags, inside the car, everywhere at home, or even outdoors.  You can overcome boring moments if teaching kids to enjoy reading takes place.

    Choose the books the child likes to read most.  Obviously you don't enjoy reading books which are not exciting.  So encourage a child what book he likes to read more often.  As adults, you know roughly what are educational, interesting and fun books to learn from. So if a child has a favorite book, let him do the reading again and again.  Don’t be a critic to his choices.  Instead praise the child for showing interests and willingness to read. These are great tips for teaching kids to enjoy reading.  

    Ask your child some questions.  While teaching, make the child an active participant in reading; don’t let him just do all the listening.  Give the child some opportunities to show his functioning mind.  Throw questions that may need more than just a “yes” or “no” answer.  “Who do you think will get the reward from the story?” “What will happen to the main character?” “What did you learn from the story?” These are teaching questions that deal with details and explanations, and children are able to do it--surprisingly! 

    Link the stories to life’s day-to-day activities.  If the topic you're teaching and reading is about cats, point out the cat animals you find everywhere. Relate those cats to the story you have read. Talk about their characteristics, friendly attitude, including the fur, color, size and a lot more. Ask, “Who do you think is their master?” Then create another interesting cat story.    

    Give some rewards when they always read.  Rewards are effective motivators to teaching kids to enjoy reading and accomplish something.  Occasionally, kids are encouraged through reasonable incentives. Later, the child will discover that reading itself is a big reward.  Together you may watch a movie, or buy him additional books, or treat him with his favorite food.  It feels so good when their efforts are appreciated by parents. 

    Let the kid enjoy reading.  With all probability, a kid is more likely to enjoy if reading has become his habit.  Teaching kids about books is the key to helping them enjoy reading. There’s no struggle if he naturally grasps a book and proceeds on reading.  Sadly, reading is not natural to all children.  Don’t give up if reading challenges you and the child.  There are tutorial programs designed to help children at different reading levels.  Joining teaching programs can create better confidence.  Most likely, they will be inclined to read more in homes and schools.

    Parents now forget the essence of teaching children about reading. Today, there are many kids who become preoccupied with activities that steal their time of learning.  Parents' responsibility is to help their children develop a habit of reading.  This is one of the best gifts they can provide that lasts for a life-time.  So start now while your children are still young. It always pays to teaching children to enjoy reading!

    Who wouldn’t like to teach their children to read  and develop reading skills? All parents’ concerns involve the growth of reading at the very young age for their kids. But how should parents teach children to read and be of good help in increasing their children’s love for books?

    Books are very interesting and to read can be a life-long habit. They contain all topics a young child could never miss in life. But children won’t just select a book and expect him to be excited all the time, so teach them to read now.


    In order to teach children to read, they need parents’ participation to make them driven. It has been proven that a child who loves to read has the higher level of succeeding in school. He can learn better and faster than any grade-school student. Books are timeless and alive; they help young kids to travel and discover the far and unreachable worlds of interest. So teach and read to your children.

    Again, the most effective way to teach your children how to read is to start early. Start to read books to them, and allow them to read to you also. Just continue showing them lots of books. Not too long, young children will be drawn naturally to read by themselves every day.

    Teach to Broaden their Interests

    As they continue, you can teach your children to read more by enlarging their interests. You can make reading a vital part not only for learning but also for making it a life-time habit. Teach children to read by giving them books on science, computer, language, problem solving, discoveries, etc. The list actually is endless to make your kids succeed in school.

    To teach children to read is not something you push to them to do. It shouldn’t be a burden on their part but something to make them feel excited and interested. Take time, every day, to read to your child. If you see the kid playing toys, show an attractive book. He may interrupt you from time to time, but the important thing here is that he sees you holding books and reading. For best result, always make reading a source of fun for the child.

    As parents, you can allow your child pick the kind of books he is most interested in. This is also one way of discovering what area of interest your child has. Picking out what books he likes helps in developing his ability to be independent. Moreover, you are trusting in your child’s decision and judgment. It’s a lot easier to teach children how to read if they like the topics.

    Aside from short-story books, give him work books with lots of stimulating writing and solving activities to boost brain development and intelligence. To read stories and get something to work on can be an excellent way of boosting his learning experiences.

    Reading for Studies

    One of the major problems of parents nowadays is how to make their children study well in school and do homework. Admittedly, there are many students who feel lazy to read books. Their interest to study is not what they enjoy doing. Focusing on their studies has been replaced with other less important things. If they have already grown up, it would be hard already to teach your children to read.

    If only parents will teach the value of reading to their kids, they would have solved half of the major problem about their children’s education—their interest to study hard. Circumstances like struggling, yelling, fighting, reprimanding would have been avoided by parents if they had taught children how to read. Wouldn’t it be a worry-free life to see your child independently reading and studying without forcing him to do it? Teach your kids to read for a stress-free life, both for children and parents.

    There would never be greater things parents wish for their children than to see them read and study their lessons independently. They get what it takes to succeed in school and it all started in reading.

    In conclusion, parents can always teach their children to read and help them succeed. You can inspire them in a lot of ways through reading. While they are young, surround them with a variety of useful books. Not too long they will amaze you; you will hear them speak broad knowledge on the subject matters they love most! Teach them to read; they'll benefit a lot to make it their lifetime habit.

    Child’s Brain Development – Answering the Most FAQ

    Miraculously, a child's brain development is a growing phenomenon.  With this, many parents and guardians have lurking questions about their child’s brain development.  So here I have gathered some of those questions and have given you the best possible answers.  These can give each parent the guidelines in quest for knowledge.  These questions and answers are initial ways to start improving your child’s brain development:

    Question:  As a child develops much of his “brain wiring,” how far can the brain progress based on genes and environment influence?

    Answer:  The development of a child’s brain cell is fast and constant.  Studies show that approximately 30% to 60% of a child’s brain development (brain wiring) is based on heredity.  The remaining 40% to 70% develops via connections with environment, activities, and people.  As a result, parents’ ways of taking care children have influential effects on the child’s brain development and behaviour.


    Question: How effective are human interactions to the brain development of a child?

    Answer:      Literally speaking, the brain of a child keeps growing with new connections on a continuous basis.  New kinds of stimulation and physical activities will cause brain growth to the child.  Many other activities like body exercise, music listening, throwing of stuff are great brain stimulants to help boost neural connections.  They can help develop better connections in order to become more active.  As a child is continuously exposed with challenges, learning, and experiences, these are the nutrient factors enhancing development for the child’s brain.  Parents can maximize the ability of the child to develop their brains by engaging on these things. 



    Question:  What are the effects of food and nutrition on the mind of the child?


    Answer:  The basic food nutrition still plays major roles in the child's brain function and development.  These include unsaturated fats, proteins, fruits and vegetables, sugar, and carbohydrates.  Green and leafy vegetables, nuts, dairy products, fish are proven to be particular foods that fuel and encourage brain development for the child.  Vitamins and minerals are similarly healthy foods.  However, be cautious if a child has allergies on certain food.  Clean water, especially drinking lots of water every day, will maintain alertness and high energy levels on children—all the time. 



    Question: If you want to improve your child’s brain development, how would you generate a rich learning environment?

    Answer: Studies show that a child’s brain development can be fully enhanced with the help of the environment that surrounds the child. Two elements are involved here:

    1.   First is exposure.  If the child is given rich information and lots of experiences, as well as challenges that promote problem solving activities, then his brain can develop faster.  Too little or too much challenges will result to some development problems.  Parents ought to help their children learn in a variety of ways.  Always give your child new situations to learn something new.  Provide added levels or techniques to grasp knowledge and brain function.

    2.   Second is good feedback.  Children need to be recognized about the good they’re doing.  Parent’s compliments on this are importantly useful.  Good comments must be specific and must be given while the activity is being done or right after it.  Exploring is so significant.  While children learn from teachers and parents, they also must learn through their own efforts and creativity.  Make your feedbacks constructive in order to create better development and improvement on the child.

    Question:  If there is not enough child brain development during childhood years, is there something that can help him overcome it?

    Answer:  While formative years are the most important stages for a child’s brain development, studies show that the brain can still overcome from the many undesirable effects.  This is true with the first 12 or 14 years.  Each child possesses substantial chances to recover from negative experiences and then begin developing things not nurtured during his early years.

    Answer:  Children are naturally receptive about anything that you provide them.  They are curiously interested and have strong instincts on endless things. They can benefit a lot from many different activities.  There are, however, three activities that promote their overall brain development: arts, music and physical activities.     

    Firstly, arts engage many brain areas to help children understand what cognition, memory and emotions are.  Provide your child lots of opportunities to be creative using many kinds of art: painting, drawing, crafting, etc.

    Secondly, music involves every feature of the brain to fuel functioning of the brain.  Your child needs more exposures to a variety of songs, music, rhythm, repetitions, and rhymes.

    Thirdly, movements of the body like engaging in physical activities help in fully enhancing a child’s brain development.  They stimulate related activities to learning and brain growth.  Help your child play and give them opportunities to help in household chores.

    So that’s it for a child’s brain development.  You got the important things to consider in helping  your child grow fully. More importantly, parents are to nurture their kids with loving interactions, protected environment and hands-on activities that encourage learning and exploring.  As children’s first teachers, parents must open the doors and windows that allow their kids for growth and development every day.
